The Internet is a big place, and there’s an audience (though sometimes a potentially small one) for pretty much anything someone is willing to take the time and effort to create and publish online. Social media services (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc) provide a low-cost infrastructure to reach obscenely large audiences with your content. However, the best ways to use these services as promotional tools aren’t always apparent.

Our goal here at the Snowball Factory is to help the creators of interesting online content connect with the people who will love it. We build what we call performance marketing tools for social media, which so far include awe.sm, fbShare.me, and TweetPo.st. While this is our company blog, we know the needs of content creators extend beyond just our products (which is why we build them in the open way we do). So in addition to blogging about our own products, we’ll continue to write about broader issues that impact the online content business overall.

And in case you’re wondering who we are, it’s Jonathan and Laurie for now. But, we’re hiring! :-D
